At Tashinam, we offer a resharpening service exclusively for customers who purchase a perfect knife.
Even if you are unsure about maintaining your knife yourself, our skilled craftsmen in Seki can carefully sharpen it to restore its impressive sharpness.

It is a 2-year care plan for customers who purchase the KANZEN Knife. It includes one free resharpening per year (up to twice over the 2 years) and repair or replacement in the unlikely event of a chipped or broken blade (free of charge, once during the period).
¥5,500 per knife (tax included).
All sizes of the KANZEN Knife (Standard), the KANZEN Petty Knife, and the KANZEN Santoku Knife are eligible.
One care plan is required per knife. For example, if you purchase the two-size set (Standard and Petty), please add two care plans to your cart.

Once per year, up to twice over the 2-year period.
It follows the same flow as the regular Resharpening Service (¥3,300). Apply on the Resharpening Service page of the official Tashinam website and send your knife to Tashinam. Skilled artisans in Seki carefully resharpen it and return it to you with its breathtaking edge restored. With Tashinam Care, the resharpening fee (¥3,300) is free. Please note that shipping costs are the customer's responsibility.
Once during the warranty period, we will repair or replace it free of charge. After checking the knife's condition, we will repair it if possible, or exchange it for an equivalent item if repair is difficult.
The following cases are not covered by the warranty.
- Cosmetic scratches, dullness, or rust that do not affect function
- Damage from intentional, rough, or reckless use
- Damage from use outside the knife's intended purpose (e.g., prying, striking, cutting frozen food, opening cans)
- Problems caused by processing or modification by third parties other than Tashinam (* caring for the knife yourself with a whetstone or sharpener is perfectly fine)
- Loss or theft
- Damage from fires, earthquakes, or other natural disasters
Currently, Tashinam Care can only be purchased together with a knife.
It starts on the date you ordered the knife.
